Wade Barrett interrupt Sheamus

Wade Barrett interrupted the verbal confrontation between Sheamus and Big Show, just one day before he will mix it up with Sheamus in a volatile one-on-one contest on WWE Main Event.  After the bare-knuckled brawler questioned Sheamus’ sanity for wanting to face both him and Big Show on consecutive nights, the three-time World Champion challenged Barrett to come to the ring himself. Instead, the English grappler opted to save his time and walked away.

As Barrett was strolling through the back moments later, SmackDown General Manager Booker T caught up with him, informing him that, after talking to William Regal, Barrett & Show will take on Regal & Sheamus in a SuperSmackDown LIVE Main Event tag team match!

WWE Main Event 10/31/12: Wade Barrett vs Tyson Kidd

WWE Main Event’s second bout on Halloween night featured Wade Barrett battling the agile Tyson Kidd. Since returning from injury, Barrett has set out to prove that he is the toughest Superstar in WWE. The Bare-Knuckle Brawler’s challenge on WWE Main Event wasn’t necessarily an easy one. Kidd’s agility is one of his greatest strengths and as the last graduate of the Hart Dungeon; he knows the meaning of resilience.

However, Halloween turned out not to be Tyson Kidd’s night. Barrett quickly and almost effortlessly dominated the agile competitor. Barrett’s physical style of competition kept Kidd grounded and constantly on the defensive. The last graduate of the Hart Dungeon was able to formulate some offense, but Barrett’s in-your-face style was too much to handle. Although Kidd put up a good fight, he was left with nothing but two Souvenir Elbows as the British Superstar claimed victory.

Following the contest, Barrett had harsh words for former World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, prompting The Celtic Warrior to confront his detractor. The two Superstars exchanged insults before Sheamus challenged Barrett next week on WWE Main Event from the United Kingdom! --wwe.com

SHEAMUS vs. WADE BARRETT -- non-title Lumberjack match

Back from break seven minutes before the top of the hour, Barrett had Sheamus in a chinlock. Sheamus broke free and landed a clothesline into a rolling gutbuster. Sheamus followed with ten big forearm strikes as the babyface lumberjacks counted along. He then wanted White Noise and connected center-ring. For his next step, Sheamus wanted the Brogue Kick, but the heel jacks yanked Barrett to the outside. So, Sheamus delivered a splash to Barrett and the 3MB group.

Back in the ring, Sheamus delivered a shoulder tackle, but Barrett rebounded with a clothesline into a standing sidekick for a two count. Sheamus suddenly went for the Brogue Kick, but Barrett ducked and dumped Sheamus over the top rope to the floor. WWE RAW 10/15/12: Sheamus vs Wade Barrett

Sheamus and Wade Barrett shook the WWE Universe to its core last week with their furious rumble on Raw, so it was only natural that the Barrett Barrage got a second crack at The Celtic Warrior in the Music City one week later. The two looked as evenly matched as ever, but thanks to the interference of Big Show, the contest was left without a victor.

Once again, the sons of England and Erin took each other to the woodshed in a contest that wouldn't have been out of place in a dark alleyway instead of a wrestling ring, foregoing almost all techncial proficiency in favor of basic, hand-to-hand power strikes. And once again, Barrett looked to be one of The Great White's most formidable opponents, matching the World Champion blow for blow as the two men brawled throughout the Music City. Barrett's offensive flurry against a trapped-in-the-ropes Sheamus in particular looked to be the sequence that could have swung the contest in the Englishman's favor.

Sheamus' trademark resilience kept him firmly in the running, however, and The Celtic Warrior was able to administer his forearm clubs to Barrett, but the brawler rallied, hoisting Sheamus up for Wasteland and, when that was foiled, felling The Great White with the Winds of Change to leave Sheamus strewn across the mat. The World Champion managed one last gasp to lock in the Cloverleaf on Barrett, but when Big Show, who had been watching from the ramp, decided to interfere, the referee rang the bell and awarded the win to the World Heavyweight Champion. An attempt by Big Show to storm the ring was turned away once again by Sheamus, but it's safe to say that The Great White hasn't seen the last of either of these two men yet.

WWE RAW 10/08/12: Wade Barrett vs Sheamus

The reignited Barrett Barrage went up against its biggest obstacle yet when Wade Barrett collided with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus on Monday Night Raw. Unfortunately, a decisive win between the two would have to wait thanks to a pair of interlopers in the form of Big Show and Tensai.

Sheamus and Barrett had just begun to rumble when the giant made his way to ringside, prowling the outskirts of the ring while he scouted his competition for the coveted World Heavyweight Title. Btu with Show content to seemingly sit at the commentary table and observe, Sheamus quickly went back to work against the bare-knuckle stalwart, engaging in a good old-fashioned brawl with Barrett that veered largely towards punishing strikes over the technical mastery of Sheamus' previous opponent, Alberto Del Rio.
